Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where a handful of us kept swapping screenshots of whatever we'd downloaded that week. At some point the notes got long enough that a proper site made more sense than endless messages, so here we are.,We don't chase trailers or press kits. A game only gets a review after at least one of us has genuinely played it for a few evenings — long enough to get past the shiny tutorial and hit the part where most apps either click or fall apart.,Our picks are a mix. Sometimes it's a chart-topper everyone's arguing about, sometimes it's a tiny thing a reader emailed us about. We try to cover every genre because a great puzzle fan and a hardcore strategy player want totally different things from the same phone.,Nobody here is paid by a studio to say nice words. If something is clunky, we say so, and if we love it we'll happily gush. That's the whole point of the place.
