Emberfall Chronicle

Emberfall Chronicle is the kind of RPG that respects your time on a phone while still giving you a proper adventure. Battles are turn-based and readable, so you can plan a move, put the phone down, and pick it up later without losing the thread.

The writing is better than I expected. Party members actually have opinions, and side quests sometimes pay off in ways that change how a later scene reads. Progression is steady rather than grindy, which kept me coming back on the commute.

My only grumble is the inventory screen, which gets cluttered fast. Otherwise this is one of the more satisfying mobile RPGs I've played this year.
