Tilt or buttons? The racing control debate
Every arcade racer on mobile forces the same choice: steer by tilting the phone or by tapping on-screen buttons. I've gone back and forth for years.
Tilt feels natural at first and reads beautifully in trailers, but it falls apart on a bus or in bed. Buttons look clunkier yet give you far more precision when the track gets tight.
Playing Neon Drift Circuit sealed it for me. The drift timing needs consistency, and buttons gave me that in a way the gyro never could.
My rule now is simple: try both for one full race, then commit. Switching mid-session is how you end up in a wall.
